Pediatric Spacer for Mechanical Ventilation Circuit MinimHal
Company: [ OptimHal Laboratoire ]
The spacer for mechanical ventilation circuit MinimHal® manufactured by OptimHal Laboratoire is designed to intervene in a respiratory circuit (invasive or non-invasive ventilation). It allows medication to be administered by connecting a pressurized metered dose inhaler (pMDI) and/or an Aeroneb/Aerogen® vibrating mesh nebulizer. The low volume of MinimHal® makes it an ideal solution for children. It is intended for children hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU) as it is specially designed for young patients who require inhaled therapy through respiratory assistance. It is used, in particular, to administer inhaled bronchodilators, anti-inflammatories and antibiotics.
Benefits
- Two uses in one: With the MinimHal® you can connect a vibrating mesh nebulizer and a pMDI to a breathing circuit.
- In vitro studies performed with the MinimHal® showed higher aerosol deposition with both the pMDI and vibrating mesh nebulizer compared to the traditional "T" cup.
- Thanks to its low volume of 60 mL, MinimHal® can be used in both pediatric and adult breathing circuits.
- The use of MinimHal® does not modify or affect the parameters of the ventilator.
- Thanks to the transparent material, the MinimHal® does not obstruct the monitoring of the breathing circuit. It is made of extremely light material and does not weigh down the breathing circuit.
